The competition supports young people and their parents and teachers in their aspiration to become outstanding performers.
The competition challenges young pianists to bring the best out of themselves, not only on stage, but also during the intense preparation that it demands. This is also true for their parents and teachers!
Cantabile’s commitment goes above and beyond the competition: all over Flanders it organises recitals and concerts to allow the laureates to further develop their art. Not only as soloists: the project “Kamermuziek Jong Vlaanderen” offers them opportunities to join other young musicians on stage.
